In celebration of the 110 years of St. Paul College of Ilocos Sur (Rosary College), with the theme: “These memories we will recall”, the SPCISAA Officers spearheaded by Mrs. Marie Antoinette V. Molina organized the very first Global Reunion and Grand Raffle Draw last July 18-19, 2015 at St. Paul College of Ilocos Sur, St. Paul Avenue Bantay, Ilocos Sur.
On the first day, July 18-Saturday, the registration started at 2:30 PM at SPCIS High School Audi-Gym. Unfortunately, due to heavy rains the batch float parade competition/motorcade was cancelled. The Eucharistic Celebration was solemnized by Msgr. Gary Noel Formoso at 5:00 in the afternoon. The mass was followed by a dinner and a fellowship night. The Batch-Siklaban…The Flashback was an open talent show to all alumni. The entry may be individual or group of alumni coming from the same batch. Performances were done for a minimum of three minutes and a maximum of eight minutes which includes the set-up of props. The following batches were awarded: 1st Prize (P3,000.00)-, 2nd Prize(P2,000.00)-, 3rd Prize(P1,000.00)-. And of course the most awaited part of the program was the grand raffle draw wherein the major prize was a Toyota Wigo Car and the grand winner was Mr. Franco Que.
Indeed it was a big event for us as we joined the merriment with our fellow alumni. Everyone was amazed with a range of programs and interesting activities with the goal of establishing new friendship, relieving the Paulinian spirit, reminiscing our old memories and a chance to interact or bond with each other.
Alumni race on SPCIS past
Paulinian graduates from different batches traced St. Paul College of Ilocos Sur history as they joined in the amazing race as a part of the Global Reunion organized by St. Paul College of Ilocos Sur Alumni Association held at the high school quadrangle, July 18-20.
With five participating teams, the Batch 1981 which was composed of Mylene Villanueva, Dr. Lioba Cecilia Tolentino, Violy Querubin, Marife Bumanlag, and Juvy Pe Benito emerged as the champion in the said event. The alumni graduates of 2006 namely Lauriz Chan, Estella Quinto, Shantel Alquiza, Katrina Joy Naval, and Joshua Egloso spotted the second place while the ICT department which was composed of William Moreta, Cherry Lyn Moreta, Lean Bagano, Gabriel Rinopa, and Cesar Purrugganan hit the third place. The first three groups received cash prizes of Php 5,000, Php 3,000, and 2,000 respectively.
On the other hand, Mr. Francis Que, a high school alumnus of batch 2004 received his prize as the grand winner in the raffle draw of the Toyota Wigo in the closing ceremony.
Lastly, the events were also facilitated by the SPCIS officers headed by its president Mrs. Marie Antoinette Villanueva-Molina together with Mr. Edmundo Bunagan, the High School Student Affairs Coordinator.
