SPCIS DoN celebrates Nurses’ Week 2022
St. Paul College of Ilocos Sur Department of Nursing celebrated Nurses’ Week 2022 with grand opening participated by SPCIS Administrators, College Faculty, Staff and students at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Lobby last October 24, 2022. The week-long celebration themed, “Nurses: Standing Strong and Ready to Make a Difference” highlighted various activities such as Nursing Academic exhibits showcasing the Nursing facilities, endeavors and achievements of Paulinian nurses, Symposium on Achieving Meaningful Human Health Outcomes and Well – being through Health Education and Health Awareness, Symposium on COVID-19 Updates, Symposium on Adolescent Health Issues and Perspectives, cultural dance presentations, Quiz Bee, Poster-Slogan, Essay Writing Contests and Mr. & Ms. Nightingale 2022.
The activity aimed to develop among the students the consistency in adhering to ethical-moral standards of decision making and behavior in their personal, professional and organizational affairs; to declare, affirm, and manifest the values and principles of honesty, transparency, responsibility, accountability, and fairness in their professional lives and endeavors; to design creative ways for the students to address challenges in their field that transcend conventional approaches dealing with them; and to set and diligently pursue high performance standards for the continuous improvement of themselves and their organizations.

The activities throughout the celebration was organized by students as part of their Nursing Leadership and Management course with the guidance of the nursing faculty headed by Ms. Rowena Quitoriano, the DoN Program chair with the support of the Administration and in partnership with the Paulinian Nursing Students’ Association (PNSA), Paulinian Nurses Alumni Association, Philippine Obstetrics Gynecological Society (POGS)-Ilocos Sur Chapter, Philippine Nurses Association (PNA)-Ilocos Sur Chapter, Ilocos Sur Medical Society and generous donors.
