SPCIS HS Student-leaders serve as Ilocos Sur Little Provincial Officials
SPCIS HS Student-leaders served as Ilocos Sur Little Provincial Officials and Department Heads during the Ilocos Sur Provincial Children’s Month Celebration 2022 with the theme: “Kalusugan, Kaisipan at Kapakanan ng Bawat Bata AtingTutukan!” held at the Ilocos Sur Provincial Capitol. The Office of the Provincial Youth Development executed the Little Provincial Officials Elections last October 28, 2022 after a two-year break compelled by the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic. Twelve Paulinian student-leaders were elected in the different offices and who got the chance to experience serving the people of Ilocos Sur as public servants.

Zach Talania- Office of the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer
Dominic Reyes- Office of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer
Irish Pilien- Office of the Provincial Bids and Award Committee Officer
The elected little provincial officials attended the Provincial Flag Ceremony and were introduced to their counterparts last November 14, 2022. It was followed by a short tour to the offices in the old and new provincial capitol buildings. The little provincial officials headed to their respective departments and offices where they performed the fundamental duties and responsibilities of their counterparts on November 15, 2022. The little Sangguniang Panlalawigan members attended the 15th Regular Session of the 11th Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Ilocos Sur with SamathaTalania as the presiding officer guided by Hon. Ericson Singson, the first SPM of Ilocos Sur.
Pursuant to President Proclamation 267, series of 1993, the national children’s celebration aims to promote and protect the physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual, and social-well-being of the child as well as emphasize the important role of the child within the Filipino Family and in the nation building.
The activity culminated with the awarding of Certificate and token to the little provincial officials last November 24, 2022.
The Paulinian student-leaders were accompanied by Ms. Aileen Usita, the HS Student Affairs Coordinator.
